'When a film works, sex scenes needn't be spoken about'
Jimmy Sheirgill's last outing at the BO - Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster did farely well, considering that it had no 'big' names to boast of.
The fact that there were quite a few hot and sensuous scenes between the actors Randip Hooda and Mahie Gill meant that a lot of talk about the film centred around their chemistry. Did that bother Jimmy? Says the actor laughing, "Why should it? All of us had our parts etched out really well and we knew what the script demanded of us.

But yes, when the film was spoken of merely for its sexually explicit scenes, somewhere I felt that talk was misplaced. Thankfully, the film's release has silenced all that now and now SABG is being appreciated as a film!"
And how has this transformation happened? He says, "All those intimate scenes that were so written about were needed for the film. However, when people saw the film they realized that there was much more to the film than just those hot scenes. When a film works, only sex scenes needn't be spoken about! That's exactly what's happened with SBAG and this happens with any film that has a great script. People keep talking about a kissing scene/ a swimsuit shot etc., but when they see the scene as part of an entire film which is based on a terrific script then that shot adds value to the film. So, it gets spoken of in addition to many other things that the movie stands for."
